In addition to these specific funding programmes and scholarships, there are numerous national (e.g. Austrian Science Fund, Austrian Academy of Sciences) and international funding programmes (e.g. Horizon Europe) that enable Ukrainian researchers to continue their research in Austria. The Research Management and Service of the University of Graz will be happy to help you find a suitable funding programme.
Important note
Ukrainians can only start an employment or academic activity (e.g. as a fellow) at the University of Graz if they have the ID card for displaced persons "Ausweis für Vertriebene"(blue card) or another suitable Austrian residence permit. In the case of employment or a scholarship/fellowship, Ukrainians must deregister from basic welfare support.
